The building and construction industry is one that a) is risky and b) at times dangerous. However, at ESP Developments, we place a high priority on safety for our staff and clients, with very attempt made to ensure this.
Safe Work Australia has some interesting information that sheds more light on the risks involved with housing construction. In 2014, they WorkCover NSW also released the House Construction Industry Plan 2014 that aims to reduce various incidents and accidents on building sites.
“The plan aims to:
- reduce deaths, injuries and illnesses
- reduce exposure to hazards which cause injury and disease
- eliminate/minimise high risk hazards by implementing higher level controls, and
- ensure that injured workers are protected and have sustained recovery and return to work arrangements”
